Do I need to press down on the coffee? How much force should I apply?

How much you have to press the ground coffee down depends on the flavour you wish to obtain. Experiment with different pressures based on the coffee amount, grind and type, to obtain the best performance from your coffee machine. As an indication, you should apply a force of 15 kg; however, try out different pressures to obtain the result you are looking for.

How can I make sure that my Polti Coffea G50S operates smoothly at all times?

If the machine has not been used for an extended period of time, it is advisable to rinse the circuits, by pressing the 2-cup coffee dispensing button. In addition, you should perform a descaling cycle every 4-6 months of use, with a liquid descaler, according to the manufacturer's instructions.

How long does it take for Polti Coffea G50S to heat up?

Polti Coffea has a heat up time of about 45 sec

What coffee can I use with Polti Coffea G50S?

The machine is equipped with a built-in grinder; it works best if you use coffee beans and grind them with the grinder. Or, you can also use ground coffee directly.

What is the difference between the 2 filters supplied?

The 1-cup filter should be used to dispense 1 cup of coffee, while the 2-cup filter should be used to dispense 2 cups of coffee at the same time.

How much ground coffee should I use to make an espresso?

1 cup/1 coffee bean: single-shot espresso - 10/12 gr of ground coffee 2 cup/2 coffee beans: double-shot espresso - 18/20 gr of ground coffee

Does coffee dispensing stop automatically?

Yes, it stops automatically; you can also program the coffee volume, and you can stop dispensing at any time, by pressing the selected button again.

Can I change the amount of coffee dispensed?

Sure, you can adjust and program the amount of coffee dispensed based on your preference and taste.

Can I customise the coffee temperature?

Yes, this machine is equipped with 4 temperature options. Follow the indications in the Instruction Manual.

What kind of water should I use?

To make the most of Polti Coffea, we recommend using tap water or mineral/natural bottled water. Do not use sparkling or natural effervescent water, or water with added CO2.

Is it necessary to descale the machine?

How do I clean the machine?

Hand wash all "removable" components with water and a non-abrasive detergent. Clean the machine body with a wet cloth, and dry it, as needed (Perform this operation with the machine turned OFF and disconnected from the mains).

Can I use a dishwasher to wash some components of the machine?

No, all components must be washed by hand with water and non-abrasive detergents.

How many coffees can I dispense simultaneously?

You can dispense up to 2 cups of coffee at the same time.

Does it also work with ground coffee or capsules?

You can also use ground coffee directly. The machine is not compatible with E.S.E. capsules and/or pods. Discover new flavours by trying out the SOLO - Single-origin coffee beans.

Does the machine turn off automatically?

Yes, the machine automatically turns off after 15 minutes of inactivity.

How much electricity does the machine consume?

The energy consumption of your coffee machine depends on how many cups of coffee you make. However, it only consumes a few watts per single cup of coffee. For energy-saving purposes, the machine turns off automatically after 25 minutes of inactivity.

Can I receive support if my machine is no longer under warranty?

Polti products have a 24-month warranty from the purchasing date or delivery date. Please remember to store your receipt or transport document for the entire warranty period.
