In the pest control industry, change is constant - from legislative issues regarding the use of pesticides to the need for diverse accreditations in different sectors and the challenge of pests developing resistance to chemical treatments. The emergence of new technologies and methods further compounds the challenge. While this is incredibly exciting to be a part of, it can be a challenging field to keep up with. Thankfully, the National Pest Technicians Association (NPTA) provides a supportive network.
NPTA - A Supportive Network for Pest Control Professionals
While those of you in the pest control field may already know about the NPTA, for those who don't, it was established in 1993 as a platform for professional pest control technicians and their companies to fulfil their responsibilities safely. What sets it apart is that it's an organisation run by pest control technicians for the benefit of other pest control technicians, as well as their valued customers.
The NPTA promotes networking and knowledge sharing among its members through events where industry experts, like Polti, are invited to share their expertise. Conferences, seminars, and local events enable pest control technicians to connect, exchange ideas, and discuss best practices. This collaborative approach improves the overall competence of the industry.
"On The Road Days" - Highlights of NPTA's Calendar
Among the highlights of the NPTA's calendar are the “On The Road Days." These special events bring industry professionals together for a day of learning, collaboration, and innovation. Industry experts give presentations, and suppliers showcase their offerings. These events are free for NPTA members and open to non-members with a small charge for catering costs.
Even more importantly, all events qualify for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points. CPD is highly regarded in the pest control profession as it demonstrates technicians' dedication to ongoing learning and professional growth, earning trust from employers and customers alike.
Showcasing the Polti Cimex Eradicator at the NPTA
Earlier this year the Polti team had the opportunity to travel to Ireland and attend some NPTA events in Belfast and Portlaoise. During these shows we proudly presented our flagship product, the Polti Cimex Eradicator, to the audience.
Polti Cimex Eradicator
Polti Cimex Eradicator is a bed bug extermination device which is able to eliminate bed bugs and their eggs without using insecticides.
We are very proud of the Polti Cimex Eradicator. It stands out with its ingenious use of dry saturated steam superheated to 180°C, effectively tackling bed bugs. The best part? Aside from being much more effective, it is chemical-free and non-toxic, making it a more environmentally friendly approach to pest control. We were thrilled to showcase it at the NPTA events, where it received a warm and appreciative reception from attendees.
Beyond showcasing our product, these events provided a wonderful opportunity for our team to connect with industry peers, share experiences, and foster lasting relationships. We wholeheartedly encourage fellow pest control professionals to attend future NPTA events whenever possible. The most upcoming ones are scheduled for the 6th of September in Surrey and the 11th of October in Bristol.
Make sure to save the date for the PestTech Show on November 8th – a significant industry event featuring over 50 exhibitors and presentations by industry experts. We'll be there, too, showcasing the Cimex Eradicator. If you happen to be attending, we'd be thrilled to meet you in person and discuss the Polti Cimex Eradicator product in greater detail.
We are proud to work with The National Pest Technicians Association and look forward to continuing our relationship with them.
